The Meaning Behind EUBEAN
The name EUBEAN reflects the connection at the heart of the brand: Europe and the Caribbean. It represents a meeting point between origin and destination — a product rooted in Saint Lucia, prepared and presented with the expectations of the European market in mind.
For us, sea moss is not simply something to source and sell. It carries local knowledge, environmental responsibility, and cultural value. We preserve that origin while building a product experience that feels clear, trustworthy, and consistent for customers across the world.

OUR STORY
A Cross-Continental Foundation
EUBEAN was founded by a Saint Lucian–Bulgarian couple, bringing together two complementary perspectives. One side of the brand is rooted in Saint Lucia, where sea moss harvesting is connected to coastal tradition, lived experience, and an understanding of local marine conditions. The other is shaped by a European mindset of structure, preparation, and consistency.
This combination is central to how we think about the brand. In Saint Lucia, we value origin, local relationships, and respect for the traditions and ecosystems that make sea moss possible. In Europe, we focus on how that product is handled, documented, prepared, and distributed to the market with greater clarity and care.
Bulgaria is also part of this perspective. Its long-standing culture of natural foods, careful preparation, and respect for raw ingredients influences how we think about product integrity, simplicity, and consistency.

Our aim is to support local communities while building fair and durable partnerships. We believe trust is created not only through the final product, but through the relationships, standards, and decisions behind it.
Our sourcing partners in Saint Lucia operate in alignment with national sustainability initiatives and engage with programmes supported by the Saint Lucian Ministry of Agriculture. This includes participation in efforts connected to the JICA Technical Cooperation project, “Strengthening Sustainable Use and Management of Coastal Fisheries Resources in the CARICOM Countries.”
These initiatives support cooperative resource management between local communities and government, helping ensure marine resources are used responsibly and preserved for future generations.
